NEWS: 16/8/2010 --> 22/8/2010

Guys, there is a month left for us to prepare our competition. I aplogize for assigning heavy load jobs for you all. You may complain or even shoutout to me. I really appreciate you all contribute a truth heart to the activity. For the last meeting, we already made our decision to continue the activity although we left few people who active in current preparation.

I would like to post the information about the previous year open competition
Registration fee: RM30 (outsiders) RM25 (UMS)
Prize: 1st RM800 2nd RM500 3rd RM400 4th RM300 5th RM200 6&7th RM100 8,9&10th RM50 best UMS RM50
TOTAL PRIZE GIVING: RM2600
Participants number: approximately 50 persons (2 UMS, others outsiders)

Funds required = prize - registraton fee = 2600-1500 = RM1100
Other expenses : Chess rental & arbiter (RM200), printing, food for AJK
This is the info given by the previous year competition director. This is a totally a good news. We actually have enough budget for our activity.

Another news for you all is our registration will officially start on next week. Registration will be done via handphone contact and website (the very first time). Kindly visit http://umsvccup.blogspot.com/ and give comment. So I finalized the detail of our competition

Venue: Foyer SKTM
Prize: 1st RM800 2nd RM600 3rd RM400 4th RM300 5th RM200 6&7th RM100 8,9&10th RM50 best UMS RM50
**It will be changed if we can get funds from Tamu Gadang
Registration fee: RM30 (outsiders), RM20(students below age 21)& RM5(UMS)
TARGET OF PARTICIPANTS: at least 50 person, max 128 person

Problem
We are facing the problem of short of time. Actually we left 2 week for everything. During the holiday we will be not able to approach officer from any department. I understand that we all have midterm test and assignment for these 2 weeks. If you cant manage your time, please tell me so that I can handle it by myself.

thanks for you all support. For those not attending the meeting, kindly msg me if u wan to contribute something because I dont know whether you busy or you wanna quit. Anyway, I dont blame you all because we all are voluntarily to join this activity.
